Here’s an update:
I am releasing a new song every Monday of 2010. I’ll be blogging from: http://www.elizabethseward.tumblr.com during this time. You’ll probably be able to keep in touch with me better through there.
I’m in NYC for a while and planning to move somewhere warm.
That is all. Happy New Year.

1. My music video for “Gray” is being featured at 8pm tomorrow night at the Sacramento Film Festival. Freaking exciting! Naissance.tv did the video and as far as I am concerned, they aren’t anything short of genius and I hope that everyone at the film festival smothers them with kisses and roses and chocolates.
2. I have booked a bunch of new dates and am in the process of booking more! I’m playing at a little coffee shop in West Seattle tomorrow night called C&P cofee company. Get there 6pm-ish if you wanna come! I’ve added these cities to my dates: Denver, Boulder, Marietta, Philadelphia, New Paltz, New York, and am looking to add more and more and more. I’d love to play some college shows, so please let me know if you know of a school I can contact to play.
3. I’d love to start getting my singles on radio. If you know of any college radio stations or local stations near you where I can send the songs, please let me know!

Hi friends, here’s some news!
1. I’m back from Europe. I made it back alive. My show in Heidelberg, Germany was so great that I can’t wait to go back and play again. Extra thanks to the band, Cortis, for making the show possible and amazing. I’m only home for 2 more days before I head off to Costa Rica’s rainforest where I am, unfortunately, not playing a show. I might have a chat with the monkeys about future possibilities, though.
2. SHOW NEWS: Marietta, Ohio: My show date in your town is officially July 10th now, not July 11th. Take note. Seattle, Washington: July 25th, come out and see me play! Baltimore, Maryland: I’m aiming to be there at the end of August. Danbury, Connecticut: my solo debut is at Safe to Swin September 4th. I turned down a trip to Switzerland for this show so you’d better come out! Denver and Boulder, Colorado: It’s looking like I’ll be around the 14-17. I want to play shows. They aren’t set up yet. Any help would be amazing. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: end of Sept. Washington, DC: end of Sept. Boston, Ma.: end of Sept. Kingston, New York: early October. San Francisco, California: end of October. Los Angeles and San Diego, California: November. Hawaii: December. This puts me through to 2010. If you can help with any of these shows you don’t see booked on my schedule yet, please do.
3. My video for “Gray” is on Current TV’s website and CNN’s! You should go to these websites and check out the video, comment, or do whatever it is people do to harness media attention for poor and struggling artists like Elizabeth Seward. http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-270132 http://current.com/items/90138273_elizabeth-seward-gray.htm
4. There are also some pretty cool live videos up from my show in Heidelberg. I posted them on my home site, www.elizabetherinseward.com
5. I’ll be releasing another couple of songs in the fall and then you’ll finally be able to download a full ep of mine on Itunes and maybe even buy some printed cds if I can get them printed as environmentally sensible as possible.
Love,
Elizabeth

I’m sitting here at the Frankfurt airport thoroughly exhausted. Every bit of me longs to be in my own bed again. I’ve been to something like 12 different hotels in 14 days. And I think everyone at this gate is sitting so far from me because I smell. I’m not just saying I smell; I really do. It pains me to have to be this close to myself right now. Trust me, deodorant and perfume and even showers don’t do the trick at this point. I need new clothes.
Just as my travels in America often prove to me, the kindness of strangers prevails much more vastly than we often presume. The world is a better place than we’re taught to believe; well, that’s what I believe. In both England and Germany, I was embraced by people I’d just met and they helped me find my way. I hardly know where to begin with my thank yous…Ann&John, Kristin, Aline, Maren, & the rest of germany’s board of tourism, Debra, Becca, Lizzy, Bob, Kent, Jon & his lovely friends–you all made this so worthwhile! My show in Heidelberg will be remembered…both by me and all users of YouTube thanks to Adam’s quick video-posting skills. Dear Germans: I have something like 40 euros of chocolate in my bag as we speak. You do chocolate, bread, and Riesling so well…I may never again be satisfied with said items outside of your country. Only time and travels will tell. Heidelberg, I can’t wait to come and play again. And that goes for the rest of the German cities and London, as well. Costa Rica, you and your rain forests are next.

I’m heading to Europe for the first time tomorrow. I’ll be jet-lagged and stumbling through the Frankfurt airport looking for a seemingly shady bus that will take me 2 hours away to an even shadier airport where I can catch a cheap flight to London. And then I’ll be jet-lagged and stumbling through London. I’ll be biking through the wine country of Germany on the western border near France. I’ll be exploring castles, terrain, and culture. I’m playing a show in Heidelberg on June 11th and will try to play open mics and other types of shows at any chance I find. All which will be announced last minute, if announced at all, I’d presume. If you have any advice on what to see in London, Heidelberg, or Wiesbaden, now is the time to chime in! Of course I’ll be documenting the entire journey on my travel site: theantitourist.com There’s something unnerving and simultaneously calming about embarking on big journeys all by yourself and if you’ve never done it, I’d highly encourage you to! You have to put yourself in a different environment to stay in touch with who you are sometimes.
